पंजाब एवं हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट ने वर्कचार्ज सेवा पेंशन को लेकर बड़ा फैसला सुनाया है। अदालत ने कहा कि किसी कर्मचारी की लंबी सेवा को नजरअंदाज कर पेंशन से वंचित नहीं किया जा सकता। इस फैसले के बाद हजारों कर्मचारियों को राहत मिलने की उम्मीद बढ़ गई है। मामला पीएसपीसीएल के पूर्व कर्मचारी पूर्ण सिंह से जुड़ा था। उन्होंने करीब 17 साल तक वर्कचार्ज आधार पर सेवा दी थी। बाद में उन्हें नियमित किया गया, लेकिन विभाग ने उनकी पहले की सेवा को पेंशन में शामिल नहीं किया।
इसी वजह से उनकी पत्नी सोमा देवी ने अदालत का दरवाजा खटखटाया। हाई कोर्ट ने अपने फैसले में कहा कि यदि विभाग नियमितीकरण के समय वर्कचार्ज सेवा को मानता है, तो पेंशन तय करते समय उसे नकारा नहीं जा सकता। अदालत ने विभाग को विधवा को पूरा पेंशन लाभ देने और बकाया राशि पर 6 प्रतिशत ब्याज देने का निर्देश दिया। यह फैसला कर्मचारियों के अधिकारों के लिए अहम माना जा रहा है।इस आदेश से पंजाब में वर्कचार्ज और डेली वेज कर्मचारियों के कई पुराने मामलों को नई दिशा मिल सकती है।
