लद्दाख में सार्वजनिक परिवहन को आधुनिक बनाने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम उठाया गया है। लेह शहर में जल्द ही “लद्दाख स्मार्ट बस शेल्टर” बनाए जाएंगे। उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना ने 30 स्मार्ट बस शेल्टर परियोजना को मंजूरी दे दी है।इन बस शेल्टरों की खास बात यह होगी कि इन्हें पारंपरिक लद्दाखी गोम्पा शैली में तैयार किया जाएगा। प्रशासन का कहना है कि यह परियोजना आधुनिक तकनीक और सांस्कृतिक विरासत का शानदार मिश्रण होगी। लद्दाख की कड़ाके की ठंड को देखते हुए यात्रियों की सुविधा पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है।लद्दाख स्मार्ट बस शेल्टर में गर्म सीटें, हीटिंग फर्श और थर्मल इंसुलेशन की सुविधा मिलेगी।
इसके अलावा ये बस स्टॉप 100 प्रतिशत सौर ऊर्जा से संचालित होंगे। यात्रियों को मुफ्त WiFi और डिजिटल स्क्रीन भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी। स्क्रीन पर बसों की रियल टाइम जानकारी दिखाई जाएगी।सुरक्षा के लिए हर शेल्टर में SOS प्रतिक्रिया प्रणाली भी लगाई जाएगी। वहीं, स्थानीय संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रार्थना चक्र, लकड़ी की पारंपरिक शिल्पकारी और लद्दाखी कला का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।प्रशासन का मानना है कि लद्दाख स्मार्ट बस शेल्टर परियोजना पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सतत पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देगी। इससे लोग निजी वाहनों की बजाय सार्वजनिक परिवहन का अधिक उपयोग करेंगे।
